Our Latest Ofsted Inspection
The Willows received an Ofsted inspection on 7th and 8th December 2021. This was a full Section 5 inspection, and the findings were overwhelmingly positive.
The report has now been published by Ofsted and The Willows is officially rated as a GOOD school.
In summary the inspectors’ judgements were as follows:

Early years provision Good
We were delighted that the inspectors recognised the work of Miss MacArthur and her leadership team, the quality of the planning and teaching delivered by staff and the obvious care that they have for all pupils.
We are very proud of our pupils, so it was pleasing to read that:
- Pupils enjoy coming to school and have much to say about all the things they like about The Willows.
- Pupils are doing well. They are proud of the school and their achievements.
- Pupils rise to their teachers’ high expectations.
- Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well.
- This is a school where pupils’ well-being and safety are everyone’s top priority.
The governing body would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Miss MacArthur and all her staff and pupils on this fantastic achievement, and to thank them for their commitment to the school and for the huge amount of work that they have put in over the past three years to make it such a wonderful place to learn.
We are determined to work together to ensure that the school continues to improve, with the aim of providing the best education possible for all our pupils. Our development plans incorporate the areas for further improvement that were identified in the inspection.
Finally, thank you to all those who took the time to complete the Parent View questionnaire and who spoke to the inspectors. We were really pleased with the positive views that the inspectors received from parents and carers. Your continued support is important to us all.
